I had the pleasure of working closely with Sam Conant (a.k.a. Cones) , a young rising concert photographer whose talent lies in capturing the candid portraits of today’s best rap and hip-hop acts, on the editorial design and layout for Shot by Cones, A 74-page book documenting his intimate backstage Polaroid photography. Cones has shot everyone from the A$AP Mob, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, The Weeknd and more.

I interviewed Sam and we went through a heavy curation process, processing over 200 photos before the book was fully laid out. The work culminated into an art show and book release event showcasing Cones’ photography at Ruckus Gallery in Philadelphia.
